Kenneth Miselis, M.D.
As a native New Englander raised in Massachusetts, Kenneth Miselis, M.D. completed his undergraduate studies at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1974. In 1979, Dr. Miselis graduated from the University of Vermont Medical School. He continued his post-graduate training with an internship at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. The internship allowed Dr. Miselis to practice a number of medical specialties before choosing to specialize in the field of ophthalmology.
Dr. Miselis went on to the internationally known George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC, where he completed an extensive residency program in ophthalmology. After completing his residency and leaving George Washington University as chief resident, Dr. Miselis moved to California.
Dr. Miselis was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1984. He has trained in refractive surgical techniques since the mid 1980’s under the personal tutelage of some of the leaders in the field – Drs. Richard Lindstrom, George Waring, Vance Thompson, Stephen Trokel, and Leo Bores. He is active in a number of local professional organizations, served as a board member for the San Joaquin Medical Society, and has been Chief-of-Staff for Dameron Hospital Association.
Dr. Miselis resides in Stockton, California with his wife. Their five children are out of the nest and either in college or beyond. He is a long-time instrument-rated pilot who uses his airplane to fly to his satellite offices and special need remote medical facilities. He enjoys traveling (flying in his plane to exotic locations in the western hemisphere) as well as taking his wife and children to places such as China, the Mediterranean and North Africa. He’s also an avid golfer.

Shelley Richards, O.D.
Shelley Richards, O.D. is a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry. Dr. Richards has served clinical externships in primary care optometry, low vision, vision therapy, geriatric vision, ocular pathology, and contact lenses. During her externships, Dr. Richards treated patients at Sierra Eyecare Associates, Kaneohe Bay Marine Corp Base, Kansas City VA Medical Center, University of Missouri-St. Louis Center for Eyecare and Vision Research, and the St. Louis Optometric Center.
Dr. Richards is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association. During her academic career, she was honored as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and recognized as member of the Dean's List.
Dr. Richards is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. During her free time, she likes to travel and spend time with her family.

Irena Bekhtel, O.D.
Irena Bekhtel, O.D. is a board-certified optometrist with specialized training and experience in geriatric eye care. Dr. Bekhtel completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Miami with a dual bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering and chemistry. She has earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University School of Optometry. Dr. Bekhtel previously practiced in Boston, Massachusetts for more than five years in her private office as well as at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates Vision Care department.
Dr. Bekhtel currently resides in Stockton with her husband and three children, providing services for senior communities as well as being on staff with LensCrafters and Heritage Eye Associates.
