Comprehensive Eye Exams

Our doctors value comprehensive eye examinations as an essential tool in providing the best vision care possible. A comprehensive exam not only determines how well you can see, but it can also help our doctors identify potential eye diseases. Most eye diseases are treatable, and some, like macular degeneration and glaucoma, can be carefully managed if identified early on.

Adults should have their eyes examined every other year before 40, and every year after 40, unless otherwise directed by their doctor. Children should have an eye exam every 5 years starting at age 5.

During a typical comprehensive eye exam, one of our doctors will dilate your pupils to allow him or her to better see the retina. Among the many steps performed as part of a comprehensive exam, you may be tested for:

• Muscle function
• Visual acuity
• Binocular vision skills
• Peripheral vision
• Eye pressure
• Color vision
• Overall eye health (pupil, optic nerve, cornea, lens, retina)

Payment Options and Financing

Make your procedure affordable and manageable on a monthly basis.

At Heritage Eye, Skin & Laser Center, we recognize how big of a challenge it may be to pay for 100 percent of your LASIK procedure up front. That is why we offer multiple financing options through Care Credit to suit your particular needs. The application process is simple and quick (usually less than 10 minutes) and most patients receive a response almost immediately.

In addition, we are pleased to announce that financing is now available for many of the other elective procedures and services offered in our office. Whether you’re considering LASIK, BOTOX® Cosmetic, or skin treatments, we’ve got you covered.

Patient Forms

For your convenience, we have made a number of forms available for patients to download. If you are new to our practice, we encourage you to download and print out the new patient forms. Filling these out in advance of your first visit will minimize the time you spend in the reception area filling them out when you get here. Other forms are informational. If your doctor has given you a form with specific information or instructions different from the information on these online forms, rely on the information given to you by your doctor, not on the online forms. Join us for our Heritage Eye, Skin & Laser Center Open House events throughout the year. Our Open House event has become a favorite to many and is held once in the Spring (usually April or May) and again in the Fall (usually October or November).
