Providing Stockton, Modesto, and Sacramento with LASIK and Other Ophthalmology ServicesStockton and the Sacramento Foothills – Enjoy Better Sight with Laser Vision Correction and More

There are many forms of vision correction available to help eye care patients see more clearly, including everything from basic corrective lenses to advanced surgical procedures. At Heritage Eye Associates, we take advantage of advanced eye care technology to help ensure that our patients enjoy the clearest possible vision. Serving Stockton, Sacramento, and other nearby communities, our doctors use laser vision correction and other alternatives to help our patients reduce their dependence on corrective lenses and enjoy life more.

LASIK

LASIK is the most popular form of laser vision correction today. This safe, convenient, and effective procedure is appropriate for individuals who suffer from refractive errors such as astigmatism and nearsightedness. After undergoing LASIK, patients are no longer constantly dependent on glasses or contacts for clear vision.

Custom LASIK

Custom LASIK improves on the conventional LASIK procedure by customizing the surgery to the patient's unique eye structure. Each patient's cornea is different from all others; by taking into account the minute differences that are present even in patients with nearly identical prescriptions, a custom LASIK treatment at Heritage Eye Associates, serving Stockton and Sacramento, makes more accurate laser vision correction possible.

Other Laser Vision Correction Procedures

Though LASIK is the most widely known form of laser vision correction, it is by no means the only option. Other types of laser vision correction, such as LASEK and Epi-LASIK, might work best in many cases, particularly when LASIK is not safe or cannot treat the problem in question. If you opt for vision correction at Heritage Eye Associates, we will explore every option with you to determine which procedure best fits your needs.

Intraocular Lens Implants

Intraocular lenses (IOLs) are designed to replace the natural lens of the eye. IOLs are useful in many different cases, but they are most frequently used to treat patients with cataracts. During cataract surgery the natural lens is removed, and a new lens implant helps restore clear, sharp vision. Today, cutting-edge IOLs are designed to be multifocal, allowing patients to see clearly at a variety of focal depths and thus mimicking the natural function of the eye more closely than ever before.

Monovision Surgery

Monovision is a treatment strategy for patients who are affected by presbyopia, a common eye condition characterized by difficulty focusing on close objects, such as text in books or newspapers. In monovision surgery, one eye is permanently corrected for distance vision and the other is permanently corrected for near vision. The brain adjusts to this arrangement, relying more heavily on the appropriate eye for the situation. Monovision can be accomplished in a variety of ways, including with laser vision correction or an intraocular lens.

Other Vision Correction Options

We offer a variety of other vision correction choices as well. Refractive lens exchange and other non-laser vision correction procedures give our patients as many options as possible for achieving clear vision in safety and convenience.
