KENNETH MISELIS, MD: Well, the technology has changed completely since I’ve been in practice in ophthalmology. Pretty much everything that we do today is different than what we did 25 years ago when I first came into practice. We employ technology in order to accomplish the purpose of making things better for patients somehow. Improves the quality of care, improve the ability to diagnose things at an early stage in order to make their course through the problem that they have better or easier.

So technology for the sake of new technology is something that I’m interested in. I’m interested in proven technology that actually provides patients an opportunity to do better.

BRETT: Technology is just something that just blows me away. It’s a bit awe-inspiring, I would say. I mean, it’s such a fine, fine thing that they do.

LANNA: We are always getting the newest and the latest, as far as the lasers are concerned. Our equipment is the newest and the latest in technology. Always something new and always something different.

KENNETH MISELIS, MD: The laser that we use for Lasik is a state-of-the-art laser. The laser has gone through probably five or six different iterations. We’re, like, on generation six right now of that laser so it’s a well-proven technology, but it offers state-of-the-art care and results as a consequence of that improvement.

SHELLEY RICHARDS, OD: Not only, as far as Lasik, do we have great technology. We’re always keeping up on the top of contact lenses, newer materials that are coming out to be the healthiest for the patient.
